Founding Fathers and Their Families

On July 4, 1776, the birth of a great nation was signified by the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The Fourth of July has always been a favorite holiday for me. I remember anxiously anticipating fire works displays and patriotic parades, but most importantly I remember spending time together as a family celebrating life in the greatest country on Earth.

It’s Not Always About Us Guys

Just last week I learned a little more about being a good husband. I had just completed a DIY recessed lighting project for our family room and had scheduled a visit from the county inspector to sign it off. Fitness for Dads: Dad, What’s for Dinner?

It’s 5pm. You’re still at work, but tonight you’re supposed to make dinner. The last thing you want to do is order pizza because that’s what you did last night and you can’t bear to ask your wife to cook again this week because TONIGHT is the only night you’re responsible to feed the family. Posture is one of those things that, if not paid any attention to, can really start to affect our health later on in life. Poor posture can be attributed mainly to what we do everyday and living what I like to call an “anterior dominant” life.
