Annie,

I have to say, in all sincerity, that is the most touching comment I have ever received. Thank you. It's very fulfilling to learn the you experiences you share are helpful to others.

It sounds like you have a wonderful husband who will no doubt, be a great father and a hero to your son. And it always helps to have such a loving and supportive wife such as yourself at your side.

Please convey to your husband my apologies that the more recent episodes of Smallville are not quite to the quality of the ones in the earlier years.

Take care and thank you again for your kind words.

I just wanted to thank you for this article. My husband has been a "Smallville" fan from the beginning. I never quite understood why he likes it so much. I read this article and it gave me a new perspective on the series.....now for the real point of my thank you.
Our son was recently born and on his birthday, Aug. 28, 2008, I gave this article to my husband. This is a reminder for him that he doesn't truly have to be a superhero to be one in his sons eyes. My husband posesses all of the qualities that will make him an excellent father, especially with the guidence of your advice.

Very thoughtful post, Ron...I really enjoyed the creative take on this one. (Sorry I'm so late in commenting...its been a hectic week!). I agree with Jeremy. This is one of those posts that you can carry around with you as a dad. Its sort of a yardstick against which you can measure your fathering skills. Well put, and thanks for giving me another way of looking at things!

I had a busy day today, but I could not get this post out of my head. I just kept thinking all day long, with every thing I did, is this "superhero" enough? I want to be a SuperDad! Thanks for a great post Ron!

This is my favorite post I read today (and that's quite a few). I agree with everything you said. Super powers make clark a superman, his parents made him a super hero.
