Jammy Panty Party – Mother’s Day ‘08

Nothing says Happy Mother’s Day like a Jammy Panty Party! This year, all of the women in my wife’s family spent the weekend at our house. On Saturday, we celebrated Ty’s birthday, and then on Sunday we celebrated Mother’s Day. Unlike previous years, we didn’t get all dressed-up to go out to brunch, but rather stayed in our pajamas and had the party at home instead!

We let Lori sleep in, although it wasn’t very late due to LOUD kids playing, banging and yelling. She was the only one who did her hair and make-up (we made her do it to kill time, while everyone else set-up for the party).

Me and my brother-in-law cooked breakfast for everyone (really, he cooked, and I prepped, cleaned and kept an eye on the kids). It was fun and relaxing, and I really enjoyed seeing everyone connect, laugh and appreciate the time together.

After the morning Mother’s Day celebration, we took a brief break to get dressed, and then we had a surprise Baby Shower for Lori too. Her mom, dad and sister really went all out on making it special, and they went above and beyond getting things we needed for Caitlin.

They even got decorations and made special treats for Lori, which meant a lot to her because it’s not like there was anyone other than family here.

Lori said that the best presents she got for Mother’s Day was all of the love and attention, especially from the little man:

What did you do for Mother’s Day? Anybody else have a Jammy Party? Love to hear some of your stories (ideas for next year, you know?)!
