I’ve often heard the old saw “Don’t sweat the small stuff” and the lesser-known corollary: “It’s all small stuff.” Whoever wrote these maxims must not have had to take care of any small children.

License to Play
A really cool thing I hadn’t considered before my first child came along is that having kids is a license to do kid stuff again. It’s a license to play. A grown person playing hopscotch or setting up troops of little green army men would be considered bizarre unless that person were playing along with a kid. You have a kid, and you get a free pass to have fun.

Discovering Dad July Contest Winners
Discovering Dad didn’t win Blogging Idol – a contest aimed at increasing blog’s subscriber count. We did increase the number of subscribers by 33% though, largely due to the great efforts of friends spreading the word about the site.
