Gradually, the manufacturers of motorized two-wheelers began to electrically assisted bicycles with the hope of making a place for themselves in this very promising market and a certain legitimacy given their expertise in the field of motorcycles.

This has been the case with Ducati for two years, which teamed up with its compatriot and specialist in the genre Thok Ebikes to design the MIG-RR, a very high-end assisted mountain bike priced at its launch at 6.299 euros, which we had tested. upon release.

To target a wider audience than experienced off-roaders, the two manufacturers are backing up with a more urban model that was seen at the last EICMA show in Milan: the e-Scrambler.

We forget here the enduro vocation of the MIG series to turn to a more urban use also allowing escapades on small roads.

To honor its name, the e-Scrambler is inspired by the design of the Scrambler with in particular the use of the logo on the front of the frame and the yellow color typical of the Icon version. The saddle adopts a two-tone color to highlight the logo of the Bolognese manufacturer and there is also a luggage rack that can support a load of 25 kg.

Technically, the Ducati VAE is based on a 6061 aluminum frame associated with a Shimano Steps E7000 motor developing 60 Nm of torque with a Shimano 504 Wh battery. The whole offers two autonomies depending on the mode chosen, with 120 km in Eco mode and 60 km in Boost mode.

The Thok e-plus 27.5 “spoke wheels are fitted with Pirelli Cycle-e GT tires and fitted with Sram 4 piston brakes.

The set retains a fairly contained weight since it is announced 22.5 kg in frame size M.
