The market for high-end electric bikes has an additional benchmark. Gocycle is a British company specializing in the manufacture of foldable two-wheelers, the G3 + has just announced. With its futuristic look, this new machine has something to impress us. Indeed, in addition to the complexity of its frame, it adopts light materials to make its transport less painful, and especially to improve its performance. Thanks to its magnesium frame and carbon fiber wheels, the Gocycle G3 + weighs just 15.5 kg. In addition, the proprietary PitStopWheels wheels are quickly detachable, further reducing weight.
Up to 80 km of autonomy
On the performance side, the Gocycle G3 + promises a range of up to 80 km in assisted pedaling mode, with its battery of only 375 Wh. Electricity consumption is therefore around 4.7 Wh / km. According to the media mentioned above, this is doable as long as the cyclist exerts enough effort in pedaling. Obviously, if you use a higher level of assistance, the distance will decrease.
In terms of engine power, this new foldable electric bicycle from Gocycle has a 500W (250W for Europe) powertrain that allows it to go up to 32 km / h. The automaker says it drew on a number of benchmarks used in automotive design. Also, the G3 + is equipped with an LED display inspired by that of Formula 1. The device displays not only the speed and the position of the gear, but also the driving mode and the remaining range.

In addition, the Gocycle G3 + is equipped with daytime running lights which are based on exclusive design and technology. The company’s patented Cleandrive system completely seals the drivetrain, including the chain, sprocket and chainring. As mentioned at the beginning of the article, this new electric bike from Gocycle is a limited series. There will only be 300 copies made! To get it, you will have to pay the sum of 4499 €. A particularly high price for an eBike.
