Beijing-based manufacturer Evoke presents one of its newest technological gems, the Evoke 6061, its first cruiser-type electric motorcycle. With a rather minimalist design, this two-wheeler sets the bar high enough with its top speed and its ability to recharge in record time.
A powerful and swift electric motorcycle: If we take a look at the different characteristics of this bike, we can see that the manufacturer wanted to focus on power and speed. The Evoke 6061 is adorned with a robust 120 kW liquid-cooled engine, or the equivalent of 161 horsepower. On this side, it is therefore ahead of its competitors: the Harley-Davidson LiveWire with its 78 kW (105 hp) engine and the Zero SR / F (82kW / 110 hp).
One of the main advantages of this model signed Evoke is undoubtedly its 24.8 kWh battery, a little more powerful than the average. It doesn’t take less to successfully push such a big engine. For now, this capacity remains one of the best advances in the field, beating that of the giant 21 kWh batteries found in the Energica range of motorcycles.
With this engine, combined with a CNC aluminum frame, the Evoke 6061 manages without too much effort to drive at a top speed of 230 km / h. For the small comparison, it is much faster than the Zero SR / F Premium (200 km / h) and its counterpart the Harley-Davidson LiveWire (177 km / h). However, it is not yet clear how many seconds it will be able to reach this top speed.
Fast charging and good battery life
For its model, Evoke did a pretty remarkable job on the drums. It takes advantage of DC fast charging technology, a small trend at the moment. Thanks to this system, recharging will only take about 20 minutes if the motorcycle is connected to a suitable charger of 125 kW. In less than 15 minutes, the battery is already 80% full, limiting downtime and extending tire life. This obviously requires a compatible charging point capable of producing level 3 DC current.

If no station providing such a service can be found, you will have to rely on the motorcycle’s 1.8 kW AC charger. Of course, the loading will then require more time. In any case, a full battery would make it possible to travel more than 470 km in the city and approximately 270 km on the motorway. In addition, even at full speed it is protected from possible overheating thanks to the machine’s liquid cooler. Note that the first series will include only 100 copies, marketed at $ 24,995 per unit.
