Competition in the world of electric superbikes continues to rage. Indeed, the Andalusian brand presents the Urbet Nura, an electric motorcycle that has it under the fuse with its powerful engine and exemplary autonomy. Urbet’s expansion is increasingly being felt in the market for zero CO2 emission vehicles.

Sporty-looking design: It’s hard not to make a complete stop on the Urbet Nura and its sporty look. The tubular steel frame is suspended on two 17-inch wheels. The beast has an inverted fork with double shocks ending in two large discs supported by two radial calipers at the front.

At the rear, it has a single piston caliper supported by a gas monoshock. Optimal safety requires, the Nura is also equipped with an ABS system. The finish commands respect, and the ergonomics of the whole are adapted to the power of its engine.

Honest power

Under the hood, the Urbet Nura has a HUB QS engine delivering a theoretical power of 8 KW. It is true that it is very little compared to the competition, especially the Zero SR / F from Zero Motorcycles which advertises 22 kW. Nevertheless, a top speed of 140 km / h is planned for the Nura. It’s a 7.2 kWh battery that keeps the electric car going just as fast. The same source of energy promises a range of between 120 and 190 km, depending on the rider’s driving habits. In terms of on-board comfort, the Urbet Nura is equipped with Full LED lighting and an LCD screen, not to mention the engine lock, for theft protection.

Ecological and for everyone

Designed to be compatible with the A1 license, the target of the Urbet Nura is clear. This is to serve the youngest drivers first, especially those who have licensed from the age of 16. The new motorcycle is also aimed at the most experienced by offering a powerful vehicle, but completely non-polluting.

It just goes to show that Urbet has not yet finished surprising us. A few weeks ago the startup presented the Ego, an electric bike with a design that is out of the ordinary. As for the Nura, the bike is expected this month at a price of 8,500 euros including tax. Like other models in the range, the bike is designed in Asia, but meets the specifications imposed by the parent company based in Malaga, Spain.
