Xiaomi is known around the world for its smartphones! Yet the Chinese giant does not intend to limit itself to this single market! To broaden their scope, Xiaomi teams have been working on electromobility for a few months now.
Urban scooters or electric vehicles, they will probably have to be reckoned with in this buoyant market… What is more, they charge aggressive prices for mid-range products. The proof with the new Ninebot C30, an electric scooter at only 445 euros! Originally announced as Xiaomi 70mai, the Ninebot C30 will be available only in the Chinese market at the moment, but it could take over our cities soon …
Xiaomi’s Ninebot C30 targets the entry level electric scooter and largely targets a teenage audience! It is currently in China and elsewhere in the world, the cheapest electric scooter on the market … 3,599 yuan, or around € 445! On the aesthetic side, it is simple and minimalist but modern … Round lines, color, criteria that appeal to the target audience.
On the performance side, you shouldn’t expect a racehorse, but it does the main job. Namely, a brushless motor of 400W (torque of 40Nm) and has a top speed of 25km / h. This limited top speed allows driving without a license in China and is also homologated for the French market.

Finally, autonomy side, it will be only 35 kilometers possible with the full battery … Battery rather heavy but removable all the same. Higher models are also available in China (C40, C60, C80) with better performance, but obviously at a higher price.
For the moment available only in China, it is not impossible that Xiaomi will open the doors to the French and European markets with its Ninebot C30 … To be continued in the coming months!
