Renault foreshadows its very first Renault electric SUV, which will be unveiled on October 15 along with a second mystery electric vehicle.
Since last February, Renault has confirmed to us that two SUVs based on the CMF-EV platform of the Nissan Ariya will complete its electric range over the next two years. The French brand offers a first glimpse of one of the two models with a very first teaser showing part of the grille. We can note LED lights and surfaces with more rounded shapes than on the Morphoz concept, as well as a very Renault yellow. First remark, the prototype designed for the late Geneva Motor Show approached a sharper style. It also gave the outline of the two SUVs with its extendable body.
Official presentation on October 15
Renault does not let us languish without information and confirms a presentation date. We will therefore be able to discover this Renault electric SUV on October 15, but not only since the manufacturer will also organize a Renault eWays event from October 15 to 27, 2020 with conferences and round tables.
Good news, Frédéric Angeli, head of electrical programs, also confirms the preview on October 15 of a second “100% electric” vehicle! Knowing much of Renault’s electric agenda, it could be the production version of the Dacia Spring, the European Renault City K-ZE. The future Renault Kangoo Z.E., based on the third generation of the utility vehicle, is also on the 2021 agenda, while the second electric SUV is rather scheduled for 2022.
